Our team designs, builds, and flies clean-sheet, special-mission aircraft for an international competition.

From the "womb to tomb" of each annual competition, we do everything from preliminary design, to CAD modeling, to prototyping and flight testing in fewer than 7 months.

DBF is challenging, fast-paced, and interdisciplinary. Being robotic systems with dozens of moving parts, each aircraft draws from every facet of engineering, including aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines. Expertise in business operations keeps our 40+ member team running, while competitive intelligence helps us find new advantages. Model aviators from all majors pitch in to design, build, and fly our aircraft for tests and competitions.

The team is comprised entirely of Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors, allowing underclassmen opportunities in design, technical leadership, and testing which would be Senior responsibilities in other organizations. Most underclassmen will find themselves working ahead of or directly with their coursework.

The AIAA DBF competition is recognized throughout the aerospace industry for its professional value. Active DBF members receive unique professional connections and stronger resumes from their participation.

Eaglenautic's mission is to provide students an opportunity to design, build, simulate, and fly heavy-lift RC ("radio-controlled") aircraft to compete in Society of Automotive Engineer's (SAE) annual Aero Design Challenge. The team is based on the idea that aircraft can be configured based on multiple characteristics defined in each year's competition rules, then designed and built by members to simulate the real engineering processes members will experience in industry. Membership in the organization shall be open to those regularly enrolled at Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University Prescott; students who are Veterans, active-duty personnel, National
Guard, Reserves, family members of the aforementioned, as well as students interested in
supporting student veterans within the campus community.

Upon graduation, members of the SVO will be presented with an SVO sash providing that
they have complied with the following requirements:
• Be a contributing member of the Student Veterans Organization
• Complete a total of 40 hours in assistance to the SVO’s sponsored activities (fundraising,
community outreach, social events, etc.). Or have been an SVO officer for one year.
- Note: the 40 hours is based on four years of attendance, to be prorated at five hours
per fall and five hours per spring semester in which the member is present on campus.
(i.e., a student present for 2 full years would only be expected to accumulate 20
hours)

Membership Benefits
The members of the Women's Ambassador Association are a selected group of female students who represent and promote the university's excellence in education. Members have the opportunity to travel with the admissions team to help recruit at high schools across the country.
