The purpose of the AI Lab+ Student Organization at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical
University—Prescott is to build an interdisciplinary community where students
responsibly learn, create, and share artificial intelligence solutions that strengthen our
campus strengths in aviation, aerospace, autonomy, and cybersecurity, while intentionally
advancing the creative disciplines that make technology human, compelling, and usable.
AI Lab+ exists to unite technical excellence (machine learning, data science, secure
software, model evaluation, and safety) with creative practice (design, storytelling,
writing, visual media, music, digital art, and human-centered experiences) so members
can explore ideas from concept to prototype and communicate them with clarity and
impact.

Our team designs, builds, and flies clean-sheet, special-mission aircraft for an international competition.

From the "womb to tomb" of each annual competition, we do everything from preliminary design, to CAD modeling, to prototyping and flight testing in fewer than 7 months.

DBF is challenging, fast-paced, and interdisciplinary. Being robotic systems with dozens of moving parts, each aircraft draws from every facet of engineering, including aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines. Expertise in business operations keeps our 40+ member team running, while competitive intelligence helps us find new advantages. Model aviators from all majors pitch in to design, build, and fly our aircraft for tests and competitions.

Our membership enjoys a comprehensive engineering experience in aeronautical design, manufacturing, technical communication, and testing.

The team is comprised entirely of Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors, allowing underclassmen opportunities in design, technical leadership, and testing which would be Senior responsibilities in other organizations. Most underclassmen will find themselves working ahead of or directly with their coursework.

The AIAA DBF competition is recognized throughout the aerospace industry for its professional value. Active DBF members receive unique professional connections and stronger resumes from their participation.

The mission of the ALPA ACE Club at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona campus is to promote professionalism and a strong safety culture among future airline pilots; represent and advocate for the interests of our members; serve as a visible voice in support of an airline pilot career path; and provide the primary student organization through which ERAU’s future airline pilots can gain industry recognition.

The Campus Christian Fellowship is Embry-Riddle's premier ecumenical Christian group on campus; We are a group of believers who worship and learn together. We offer an on campus Bible Study every Saturday in the Campus Chapel, from 6 to 7 PM. We also arrange carpools for students on campus to get to local Christian churches.
