    • Before arriving, please be sure to:
    • Register for your move-in/check-in time with Housing and Residence Life
    • Upload your Eagle Card photo.
    • Complete any required placement testing.
    • Finish the Online Orientation module in Campus Solutions.

I'm a transfer, international, or veteran student. Do I attend Orientation?

Yes! Transfer students, international students, and veterans all participate in New Student Orientation. Some groups may also have additional specialized programming.

  • Move-In & Check-In

    Where do I check in?

Your first stop is the ERAU Check-In area, where you'll receive your Orientation materials and, if living on campus, your residence hall key.

What if I miss my move-in appointment?

    No problem!

    • Between 4:00 PM–7:00 PM: Visit the Housing & Residence Life Office in T2.
    • After 7:00 PM: Call the HRL After Hours Help Line at (928) 777-3790 and press any option to connect with a Resident Assistant.

Will someone help me move in?

Yes! Move-In Support Tents are staffed by Housing & Residence Life, Orientation Leaders, and volunteers. Dollies, move-in bins, bottled water, directions, and assistance are available throughout move-in day.

  • Orientation

Do I have to attend Orientation?

Yes. Orientation is designed to help you successfully transition to Embry-Riddle and introduces you to the people, resources, and information you'll need throughout your first year.

    What are Small Groups?

Small Groups are one of the most important parts of Orientation. Led by Orientation Leaders (OLs), they connect you with students in similar academic programs while helping you learn campus traditions, navigate resources, and build lasting friendships.

How will I know which Small Group I'm in?

Your Small Group number will be printed on your name badge during check-in.

What if I have to leave for Flight Check-In?

That's expected! Flight students should attend their scheduled appointment and then return to Orientation activities afterward. Your Orientation Leader will help you reconnect with your group.

  • Parking & Transportation

Where should I park after moving in?

After unloading, please relocate your vehicle to Lots B–F so move-in parking remains available for incoming students.

    Is there a shuttle?

Yes! Complimentary shuttles run approximately every 15 minutes between the Bookstore roundabout, between lot B and C, as well as T2, and Mingus Hall 3 during move-in.

    Is there transportation to stores?

Yes! The Student Government Association (SGA) offers complimentary shuttle service to Fry's, Walmart, and other nearby shopping locations during Orientation.

Do I need a parking pass?

Yes, you can purchase on through the Campus Safety and Security ERNIE page.

  • During Orientation

    Where can I ask questions?

Visit any Orientation Help Booth! Friendly Orientation Leaders are available throughout the week to answer questions, provide directions, and help you find your next event.

    What should I wear?

Dress comfortably for most Orientation activities, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle. Convocation is a special ceremony, so smart casual attire is encouraged.

    What if I get lost?

Don't worry! Ask any Orientation Leader, Residence Hall staff member, or visit an Orientation Help Booth. We're here to help!
