RSO Event Registration

All RSO events (on-campus, off-campus, virtual) need to be registered and approved through the Eagle Life event registration process. Events must be registered at least 7 days in advance (but we recommend registering them as soon as possible). Approval should not be assumed, and it is the responsibility of the submitter to check for questions regarding the event in Eagle Life.

If partnering with an outside organization or vendor, the Business Office may need to be consulted. Seek clarification and approval with the Department of Student Engagement.

If your registered event is no longer taking place, it is your responsibility to cancel the event in Eagle Life.

Register Your Event

An officer of your RSO creates your event in Eagle Life and accurately fills out the attached form. As part of this event creation you will be able to reserve any on-campus locations (see specific Athletic Facility policies here).

After a successful submission, your event will have an orange tag that says "Pending Approval". If your event has a red tag that says "Approval in Draft" your event has NOT been submitted.

Event Review

Depending on what you're doing at your event, there may be some additional review needed before its approved. Be sure to check your Eagle Life notifications for any questions we may have about your event!

For instance, if your RSO is hosting a cookout we need to verify that there's at least one person with a food handler's certification or if you're playing a sport we need to discuss Activity Release Forms.

Event Approval

Once the review is complete (and barring any unresolvable issues) your event will be approved!

Work Order Submissions

Depending on your event, you may need to submit work orders to Information Technology (Media) or Facilities Management.

These should not be submitted until after your event has been approved.
