Formal recruitment, also known as primary recruitment, takes place at the beginning of the fall semester. All three of our sororities participate in formal recruitment each year. Formal recruitment is a mutual selection process where chapters and potential new members learn more about who is a good fit for them.

Continuous open bidding (COB), also known as informal recruitment, is a chapter-driven process through which chapters invite potential members to recruitment events independent from the College Panhellenic Association recruitment process. This type of recruitment happens fall and spring semesters, although not every chapter may participate in COB each semester. Similar to the process of COB, Spring Recruitment is individually conducted by each chapter.
